Now Hiring: 2nd Engineer – Hopper Dredger (Worldwide Operations)

Boreas Maritime is looking for a skilled and motivated Second Engineer to join the crew of a modern hopper dredger active on international dredging projects.

Your Role

As Second Engineer, you will support the Chief Engineer in running all technical operations on board. You’ll ensure safe, efficient, and compliant functioning of the engine room — all while working on projects that shape coasts and ports around the world.

Position Details

• Vessel Type: TSHD (Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger)

• Operation Area: Worldwide

• Contract Duration: Long-term

• Rotation: Equal time (e.g. 6/6 or 5/5, project-dependent)

• Start Date: Based on availability

  
  

Requirements

• Valid STCW III/2 or III/3 Certificate of Competency

• Experience on dredgers or similar machinery setups

• Valid seafarer medical, Basic Safety Training (STCW), and documents

• Fluent in English (spoken & written)

• EU nationality or Schengen visa eligibility
